Silicone
Anyone with scars and burns on any part of the body.
Designed for use in homes and healthcare facilities.
Instructions for use
1. Begin treatment once the wound is completely closed or 3 days after
removal of stitches.
2. Clean and dry the affected area
3. Remove the transparent plastic protective
film. Keep the film together with the packaging for when the product
is not in use.
4. The scar must be completely covered. Leave at least 7 mm distance between the scar and the edge of the silicone sheet. If necessary, fix the sheet in place with a bandage or adhesive tape.
5. To allow the skin to adapt to the silicone sheet:
l. Start treatment by applying them for 2 hours a day for 4 days.
II. Increase to 4 hours a day for the next two days.
III. Increase the application time by 2 hours each day until the
optimum treatment is reached, which is 24 hours per day.
IV. The duration of treatment should be monitored by a
physician, but a minimum of one month of use is recommended.
5. Cleaning
Designed to be washable and reusable for the same patient.
Wash with warm water and pH-neutral soap, then leave to air dry
before reuse.
Disposal at the end of useful life: Must be replaced when: Shows
visible wear, is difficult to clean and/or has lost adhesion. At the end of
its useful life, clean the sheet and dispose of it with non-hazardous
waste.
6. Warnings and precautions
Do not use on open or oozing wounds. For external use only. For use on
a single patient. Inspect the skin periodically.
Discontinue use of the product and seek advice from a healthcare
professional if:
• The skin loses its integrity, i.e., it deteriorates.
• There is a deep tissue lesion or one is suspected.
• There is skin irritation.
• Heat rashes or reddening of the skin occur.
Sweating may occur if used in hot environments. This may decrease
the effectiveness of the adhesive. To prevent this problem, wash the
sheet twice a day and adapt its use to the temperature conditions,
using a retention bandage or hypoallergenic adhesive tape. In this
case, do not compress the area of application excessively, as this may
cause irritation.
As the silicone gel sheets prevent the skin from breathing normally,
some redness may be observed on the area of application. If this
happens, reduce treatment to 12 hours per day or less. If skin redness
persists, if there is pain or irritation, discontinue treatment and consult
your physician.
Do not expose the product or the scar to direct sunlight.
